INNOCENCE SOLD is a Priority Project of LIONHEART 1:17, Inc., an IRS approved non-profit corporation registered in the State of Arizona.
LIONHEART 1:17 exists to prevent, rescue, and restore children and families at risk by providing services which empower and strengthen orphans and vulnerable children and families.
We accomplish this through educational, vocational, awareness programs, community programs, medical programs, and Christian programs in partnership with government and NGO’s.
We provide educational services which promote literacy, train young adults and parents in suitable vocations, and create awareness regarding issues which lead to risk. We provide community programs which address community and cultural issues which lead to the creation of at risk children and family issues. We provide medical programs which address basic health issues, and address dominant diseases and illnesses affecting the children, families, and communities.
We prevent risk by educating children and families, as well as the community through culturally sensitive programs and awareness. By addressing medical needs, and by meeting basic humanitarian needs such as clean drinking water, adequate food supplies, and housing. We prevent risk by providing a Christian foundation for families to live by.
We rescue children and families at risk by working with local governments, authorities, and the local community.
We restore children and families at risk by providing mental health services, by providing safe housing, and by re-‐introduction into society through education and vocational training.
The name, LIONHEART, comes from the life of David. David had a tender heart toward God, and toward people. Yet, he maintained the heart of a lion when it came to the injustices of his people.
1:17 is taken from Isaiah 1:17 which says,
“Learn to do good.
Seek justice.
Help the oppressed.
Defend the cause of orphans.
Fight for the rights of widows.”
